Following on from our last event at Fight Light T.C4, we have another three members of our competition team entering the cage on Saturday April 4th at GP UK in Stoke-on-Trent.

Robbie Nicholson, Dean Williams and the debuting Will Welch will all be appearing on the night in their respective bouts. Here’s a bit of a preview for each of our warriors…

First up we have Robbie Nicholson fighting in a Lightweight matchup. Robbie has been with 12 Gauge for many years and has been on various different shows already. Robbie loves to stand and trade with anyone who steps in front of him and is extremely talented when it goes to the ground with a victory coming from a beautiful armbar transition at ICE. A difficult fighter to finish, Robbie’s game has become more advanced with his experience inside the cage and comes into his next fight more knowledgeable, prepared and ready to go.

Next we have Dean Williams fighting in a Bantamweight matchup, bringing in a record of 1 win by knockout and 2 losses. Dean is coming off an absolute brawl at ICE 4 against Adil Hussain where he lost by decision but proved to all in attendance that he is an entertaining fighter and has a never say die attitude when he steps foot in the cage. Debuting with a highlight reel 7 second KO that was aired round the world and then suffering his first loss via submission, Dean put on a real show in his last outing and no doubt will be looking to do the same in his upcoming fight. Although he currently lives away from his gym’s hometown, Dean still trains at every opportunity he gets and is continously learning in his mixed martial arts journey. Dean’s unpredictable striking and knockout power alongside his ever evolving wrestling and grappling makes a difficult match for any opponent on the night.

The last of our warriors to step in the cage at GP UK is Will Welch debuting at Light Heavyweight. Will trains at our sister club, 12 Gauge Martial Arts Macclesfield run by IMMAF Bronze Medallist and Rage In The Cage Bantamweight Champion Carl “The Honey Badger” Burton.  Will posseses a great work ethic and can be seen week in, week out grafting away in classes. He has been training under Carl pretty much since the doors opened and is looking forward to getting his first taste of action inside the cage.

With the event just a little over a week away and our fighters working hard, everything is set to be a top quality night. Look out for articles over the coming few days interviewing our fighters, giving their thoughts on their respective bouts and their preparation up until fight night.

Tickets available from Matt Thorpe at 12 Gauge MMA’s reception.

Cheers

Dan
